US Cellular Withdrew their application and no more action is necessary at this time. The meeting on May 6th is canceled.

The Times Republican writes; The signal sent Thursday by Marshalltown’s Planning & Zoning Commission was it would be inappropriate to build a new cell phone tower at the edge of a residential neighborhood. Tonight the Planning and Zoning commission voted
6 to 0 to recommend DENIAL of the placement of a cell phone tower at the Best Vacuum Store location, 107 East Meadow Lane.

They will pass their recommendation against the
cell tower application on to the
Adjustment Board for the final decision on the issue.

Please attend the meeting of the
Adjustment Board at 5:00 pm at City Hall on Tuesday, May 6th,
in the Council Chambers.

Your attendance was critical in showing the Planning and Zoning Commission that a cell phone tower at the proposed location should be denied.

Your attendance at this meeting is critical to protect our neighborhood.
